Tower defense games can be hard for beginners, so we have a couple of quick tips that apply to most of the games on the Tower Defense Games Playlist. While there may not be that many tower defense games on here, most of the titles here are likely to provide a fun and action-packed challenge. The Tower Defense Playlist is small but mighty. Surprisingly, tower defense games are somewhat similar to business games, in the sense that it is crucial to manage your time and resources carefully in order to beat the competition and win the game. Don't let any of them get to your base! To win, you'll need to think strategically and manage your resources carefully. If you make a mistake and save it as something else you should be able to fix the server by replacing the file and doing it correctly.Place defensive towers and fight your way through wave after wave of enemies. When you save your file make sure you have selected “All Files” as the file type and save it as “ServerHostSettings.json” or your server changes will not work. Players can use any characters in both the Server name and Password, however, they will not need to touch the API. Open this file with Notepad, not Wordpad, here players will see: Players will need to repeat the steps above, however, at step 9 players must go into their ServerHostSettings. HOW TO CHANGE THE NAME OR PASSWORD OF YOUR V RISING SERVER Simply delete whichever folder of the server you no longer want and it will no longer appear in your list of servers. Though, if players want to ensure that they have the right server (and have been smart by naming them different things) players can head into each of the file Folders to click “ServerHostSettings” to see the name/password of the server.ġ0. Typically when players open and close a server in-game it will force the server to save. I would organize the files you are looking at by the date that they were last modified. The next part is where players will want to be careful. Although players are trying to open the %appdata% file folder, this will typically open the Roaming Folder, so make sure you head back a Folder so you are actually in AppDataĩ. Next Type %appdata% into the Run program and hit Okayģ. To do this, all you have to do is search for the Run program after you hit the Windows Key.Ģ. In order to access your Save Files follow these instructions:ġ. Shockingly, this was the most confusing element to getting access to your save files, as typically players will only have to locate the game in their Steamapps folder or wherever the game is typically located, however, for V Rising it’s actually stored in your %appdata%. HOW TO ACCESS YOUR SAVE FILES IN V RISING If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know as I want to ensure that no one gets confused as we’re covering a topic that will alter your save files. The following guide will take you through all the simple ways you can do this. At first, I thought it was going to be nearing impossible to get rid of my multitude of Save Files, which was going to get annoying since I didn’t even think to name them different things, but there’s actually quite a simple way to manage all of your save files, rename them or delete them if you know a bit about the files that are available to you. Though this isn’t the most straightforward aspect, I’m going to do my best to break down how players can easily do this, at least until V Rising gets an update that makes these options much more accessible for players.Īs most players know, I currently have at least 6 Save Files in V Rising. I’ll be honest, I’m kind of disappointed in the lack of options in the UI in V Rising, but realistically players can change just about anything by going into save files.
